Wilma also loved camping with friends and family all over the Pacific Northwest, Idaho, and Wyoming, and she made yearly trips to visit family in the southern states. In her middle years, Wilma became a fantastic oil painter and served as the Fortuna Art Council President for many years. She and Armin also spent many a Saturday night at The Swiss Club in Loleta, CA. She loved doing the Polka.
Following the death of her husband Armin, she moved to Arkansas to be near her family. She then made her final move to Manitowoc to live with her granddaughter, Rhiannon Ashbeck. Wilma spent the last six years living with Monica Larson, her precious caretaker and very best friend.
