Wilson R. Henderson, 48, of Sheboygan Falls passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, November 25, 2021.
Wilson was born on October 7, 1973 in Nashville, Tennessee and came to the Plymouth area at an early age. He attended Parnell Grade School and graduated from Plymouth High School. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Desert Storm. Wilson was a truck driver working for various types of industries most recently in infrastructure construction.
Wilson could look like a grizzly bear with a mischievous grin but was as soft as a teddy bear with a generous heart. If you mentioned you liked something he had he would most likely give it to you. He enjoyed fishing and would watch Wisconsin teams of various sports. He collected sport related memorabilia.
Wilson is survived by his brother, Neil Henderson of Crivitz; his sister, Stephanie Henderson of Georgia; a step sister, Nicole Yekenewicz of Cascade; his stepfather whom he considered his father, Nick Yekenewicz of Cascade; Shirley Shrum of Bethpage, Tennessee who was like a “ma” to him; his close friends, Jeremy Dombrowski of Sheboygan Falls, Gerald Rentmeester of Cascade and Andrew Schickert of Cascade and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Keen Yekenewicz and a brother, Dwayne Henderson.
A memorial service for Wilson will be held 7 pm, Friday, December 3 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services with a gathering of friends and family from 5 pm until the time of service at the funeral home, 123 South Street, Plymouth. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A celebration of his life will be held at Kim’s Five Corners Bar, N3701 Cty Road I, Sheboygan Falls on Saturday, December 4 from 1 pm until 4 pm.
